On campus, failure is on the syllabus

A number of colleges and universities have started programs to help students cope with and destigmatize failure. This article looks at a recent program started at Smith College in Massachusetts and other similar programs across the United States. According to Rachel Simmons, a leadership development specialist at Smith, the school is trying to teach that “failure is not a bug of learning, it’s the feature. It’s not something that should be locked out of the learning experience.”
