SFU task force on flexible education publishes interim report

Posted on September 25th, 2014

After an initial round of research and engagement with the Simon Fraser University (SFU) community, the SFU Task Force on Flexible Education has published its interim report. The report defines flexible education within the SFU context as encompassing “the ways in which members of the university community collectively and individually design, deliver and support learner and instructor choice within academic programs in response to increasingly diverse student needs.” The report recommends the creation of four working groups made up of faculty members, staff and students to explore a vision and strategy for flexible education at SFU; learning models, delivery, and support systems; learning experiences and learning spaces; and program designs and business models.
