Team-teaching Canada, one moment at a time

This article explores the UBC course History of Canada: Moments that Matter. The course is taught by a team of instructors from the department who pitch ideas for important aspects of Canadian history as the course is being planned. Lectures for last year’s course included “’British Columbia’ and Beyond: The Indigenous Worlds of Captain Cook” and “Why Bison Matter: Energizing Change in Canada.” The article also explores team teaching models and why this course may be a successful example.
