This project brings together UBC badge “early adopters” representing six faculties, as well as expertise within the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology, to collectively pioneer badge-based learning pathways on campus. The pilot program includes formal and informal learning contexts, as well as participatory and competency outcomes. This project will build upon previous TLEF funding, and intends to be a model for campus-scaled collaborative innovation of learning technologies. As part of the project, badge pilot implementations will occur in the Digital Tattoo project; M101 – Become Digital, UBC’s local open online course, or LOOC, which focuses on digital literacy; and the fully online Master of Educational Technology program.
