By Heather McCabe posted on June 10th, 2015

The call for proposals for large Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) projects above $50,000 is open.

The proposals will undergo a two-stage approval process:

  • An initial letter of intent (LOI) is to be submitted by 3:00 p.m., July 13, 2015.
  • LOIs supported by the faculty deans (or Vice-President Students) and by the TLEF committee will then be invited to develop a full project proposal, to be submitted by 3:00 p.m., October 16, 2015.

Information on the small projects TLEF call for proposals will be released in early September.

The TLEF was created in 1991 to enrich student learning by supporting innovative and effective educational enhancements. It has funded more than a thousand projects since it was established and continues to support UBC’s mandate to deliver an outstanding learning experience for students.

A portion of the TLEF will be set aside to fund projects that align with the strategic priorities of flexible learning at UBC.
