Blended learning: Promising innovative practice requires strategic approach

BCcampus summarizes a report from Collaboration for Online Higher Education Research, which found that blended learning has the potential to transform Canadian higher education but requires strategy, resources, and a better integration with institutional goals. The report additionally found that without a clear understanding of the potential benefits of blended learning and support for both faculty and students to gain technology literacy, digital technologies continue to be used to supplement and duplicate current practices rather than reach their full potential as truly innovative practices.
